Hike Smart, Be Prepared, Be Safe

24HourPack.com Homepage

Our pre-equipped, 24-hour packs are not intended to replace common sense or skill. Neither are they meant to include the full complement of what should be carried on every outing, so please add any and all food and water, clothing, shelter, technical and other gear you feel is necessary for your outdoor adventure or mission, and ensure that all gear is in proper working order before hitting the trail.

The following is a list of additional items we recommend that every hiker should carry in a 24-hour pack, along with our favorite website for gear reviews and online gear store to pick up those important "extras."
SectionHiker.com
Lightweight backpacking for beginners and experts

We recommend SectionHiker.com for all your additional 24-hour pack gear and clothing, including excellent gear reviews by fellow long-distance hiker Philip Werner. Philip is a lightweight backpacker who started blogging about his experiences section hiking the Appalachian Trail and Long Trail in January, 2008. His passion for outdoor adventure is not limited to backpacking and hiking, however; Philip is also hooked on whitewater kayaking and rock climbing, and teaches and organizes events for the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Boston Rock Climbing Group.
